It puts you in a medium size room and lets you pick, throw, drop, etc, just about everything in there, which includes flower pots, cue balls, hanging lights, shelves, knickknacks, and more.
It also lets you turn the gravity off or on at will, as well as summon bombs that you can place where ever you like. Putting a bomb beneath a pile of pots and shelves with gravity off is entertaining, to say the least.
Finally, you can save the state of the room at any time, so if you manage to balance all of the balls on top of each other, or make a Rube Goldbergesque setup, you can save it and we can all try it.
Just thought you might enjoy a look at how fun physics can make even a simple room.

This is the first time anythign has perma-crashed my computer in months!! A curse on you Twilight[ChBr]!!! may you be cursed with a hundred copies of Windows ME!!!
"Press F1 for help"
Sorry about the crash, Beast. Did it lock up as it started loading? Mine seemed to lock up as I started it, with a blank black screen, but after hitting enter a couple of times, it was fine. Also, you could try the older version at the same site, which should run on almost anything this side of a P166.
If you grab something, and then hold the Right mouse button down while moving the mouse up and down you and push things away from you and drag them closer, so you really can move things in all 6 degrees of freedom, as well as move yourself too.
I did notice that you don't cast a reflection in the mirror though. Must be a vampire.
I'm still waiting for someone to concoct some elaborate set up and save the setting, so we can all take a look. Or can you only save states in the older version? I forget. I think in the documentation it claims you can stack the billiard balls one on top of the other, if you do it very carefully...

i did like this tho...

Select the 'Direct3D' tab.
Ensure that the '8 bit Stencil' button is checked.
You will need to reboot, for any changes to take effect.

Let me know how the older one goes.
By the way, I checked, and the newer one doesn't allow you to save states. This is too bad, because the older one does, and it even comes with some pre-defined saved states. One of these is the balanced pool balls, I believe, which is probably where I'm remembering it from (They stay unless you nudge them at *all*, or even turn gravity off and then on again.)
It also has a cool one where the chairs, shelves, pots, etc, are all balanced in this intricate maze-like pattern, and you are supposed to take the cue ball and manuever it through from one side of the maze to the other, without touching/knocking anything over. Never managed it myself.

PS I managed to get 4 of those little pots balanced once, but it was hard, and more than that, you'd have to be pretty good. (Actually, I'm sure someone's taken that as a direct challenge, and in mere hours someone will post a pic with 10 of them or something. )
PPS
Just remembered that in the old version at least, there was a rat hiding under one of the tables or desks or something. Maybe it was the pool table. Anyway, if you bothered it, it goes running around the room. Of course, turn off the gravity, and it only makes swimming motions in the air. Not sure if it's in the new one or not.
what are you tlaking about? hit ctrl-s ingame and save away! then use ctrl-l to load, it has this really awesome one wher eEVERY remotly round thing is balanced, and if you so much as move the cursor past the pool balls, they topple. really weird.
Also, you can click on the projector and play the movie.

I posted something worthy of the Cool Links Topic? Thanks Liku! I guess even *I* get lucky sometimes. Big time, here I come!

I think the water is most interesting. If it was REALLY detailed, the rat would kinda wiggle it's legs in mid air when gravity is off and not go anywhere wouldn't that be sweet?

Ummm, isn't that exactly what happens to the rat when the gravity is off? Or am I remembering incorrectly?
