fill us in.
For all the testers and vets who are gallantly working out our next venue for intergalactic warfare, what kind of general strat changes are we going to see? I know there are changelogs and such for me to read but what have you testers experienced first hand as far as things like build orders and the necessity of capping certain amounts of RT's and the like?

Give us some general examples so we can prime our commanding brains for the 31st. Fanx.

I think that if you read trought this thread, you will get some ideas about the strategy changes.

The standard commander base setup currently is:
1 IP
1 Armory
1 Turret Factory (need for electrify)
3-5 Turret's (yes, turrets in the beginning - so no whining!)
Either upgrade the Armory (required for Protolab) or Arms Labs

The strategy is usually the same, attempt to capture both hive's. Capture resource nozzles and electrify.
Then mid-game research Heavy Armor and equip a squad with HA/HMG or Shottie or GL with all welder's and send them to destroy a hive.
HA's are much, much, more common than JPs. JPs are as rare as 1.04 HA's

ah, so marines now start with a base?

At least skulks will still be able to get armory humpers...

i would say the turrets are optional, of course they help. THe tfac is pretty standard now just for electrification.

these days its alot about res nodes. Get lots of nodes and kill lots of nodes, while still balancing out to kill hives.

well, the thing is there are still changes being made and they are made on a pretty frequent basis, so we really cant say this is what you are going to have to do when it comes out, because it could be a lot different when it comes out. But yes, as of now what battletech said is very true atm.
