<div class="IPBDescription">NS 1.04 not starting on Linux</div> Heres the output i get..
./hlds_run: line 125: 13263 Segmentation fault $HL $*

The default NS dedicated server works, the second I put 1.04 onto it it b0rks.
The ONLY source available for the update is Redphive so i can only assume it isnt corrupted.

Anyone else get this?

I just downloaded that file on my linux server a few days ago... it seams to work fine but it crashes 10% of the time on map changes...?

Got any more information, such as which version of the HLDS are you running? What distro are you using etc?

NSv1.04 works here using Redhat 7.2 using the 3.1.1.0 HLDS (not 3.1.1.1).

Remember its the patch that b0rked it, it worked with just the dedicated server and no updates..
    Im using..

    Exe version 3.1.1.1
    Exe build: 21:44:58 Jun 5 2003 (2415)
    With the hlds_l_3111c1_update.tar.gz update applied.

Ill try older versions of HLDs later and will update post if it fixes it, thanks for the help.

    P.S Slackware with 2.4.20 kernel

*update seems as though you guys are right <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->, 3.1.1.0 working fine with .04, thanks again
