For the blind, they wouldn't be able to see this at all, so this information is useless =P.

Umm, no offense Jammer, but this is in no way a "Warez" topic. Look at the first part of his post:
I went to a bit torrent site to download half life e3 movie, but instead it gave me some wierd crap and ever since, I keep on getting these spam porn popups that can't shut off when i click the x in the corner.
He was using Bit Torrent to download a half-life E3 movie. The E3 movies are free to distribute, right? Bit Torrent is a file sharing utility, and you could use it to download illegal software, but you could use it to download anything else, much like your web browser. You wouldn't consider a topic about Internet Explorer a Warez topic, would you?
Again, no offense, but I'm really not seeing the whole "Warez" angle on this one.

it does?!?!
your kidding
wow
It didn't detect a virus, I got rid of the spyware, and so I moved to the next step and began searching the registry. This one page has infested itself in my computer..... everywhere in the registry that had the page listed, I'd delete it or change it; but to no avail. It just kept coming back.
I was really ****, I ended up reinstalling windows totally.
I thought i backed everything up first, but then I found out I didn't back up my config file for natural selection; this means that my mouse sensitivity just _wasn't_ quite right and threw off my gameplay. Ah well... spilt milk....
As for these pop-ups... I hate them. Before I used Proxomitron, I got a few ads installed. And what I did was, clean the registry, disable the program in the startup (if possible), find the new files (search newest and see which ones are 'suspicious', hidden) and then restart in safe-mode. I deleted, burned, destroyed, ravaged the files there. Voila.
I do remember though, that I couldn't delete a file even in safe-mode once. Don't remember how I got rid of it, but I did...
