Red Dawn

Honestly, a wonderful movie.
Heh, yes, a one star movie with both Charlie Scheene and Patrick Schwazey (sp on both) that I found extremely entertaining.

The whole notion of "teenagers" fighting guarielle warfare isn't as absured as it may sound, all around the world such things have happened, and in many cases, made quite an impact, as youth do have an insatiable need for freedom.

Any comments on the movie, good or otherwise?

I love the beginning of the movie when the Russian troops parachute and land at the school. Then the teacher goes outside to see whats going on.
Needless to say the movies a classic and everyone should see it.

Great movie . . . in both the good and the bad way.

"They call themselves 'Wolverines', so let's study the qualities of the animal, for these will give us insight into these guerillas . . . '

But Hell yeah, great movie (even in a non-ironic way).

*In his best crocodile hunter's voice*

Ahh...Mate, it's the rare and elusive Bathroom Monkey. They say he can model like no other monkey.

Let me see if I can poke him with a stick or tie him up. Eek, mate, there's MonsE, run mate, run.

    Anyone else?

You're going to be like Darryl, swallowing the homing device, and I'm going to be C. Thomas Howell, gunning you down.

    Or something like that

    What What What !!!?

I'll have to watch the movie, is it in the theater or is it released on video ?
I'll give my friends a call and I can watch it once I get off work.

Btw, Bathroom monkey never plays NS...seriously, join one of our playtests once in a while, you know where to get the files. Better yet, join IRC tomorrow, I'll talk to you there or something.

The movie's about 20 years old, so you'll have to either buy it or rent it.

But you will see what I mean. . . pheer meh es0teric threats!

Note: I have screwed up my install of NS so badly that I can't play on *any* servers! I am Forcing Flay to help me rectify the situation. When it is . . . you are in serious trouble.

    Yes, you are.

You wish. Bring it on BM !! Bring it onnn!

Pssh. I bet even MonsE could school you hardcore.

Is deleting NS and reinstalling it really causing that much trouble ?

    Logic will get you nowhere.

I tried! Screwed it up somehow . . . and I didn't want to go through the whole awful update problem. I''ll be back in action soon-- and you will be . . . . uh . . . . harrassed?

Dude, sweet. Robert was my favorite, even if he did let his hate burn him up, his bravery really prevailed :-\

The one thing that still upsets me is that Erica never really knew what happened to Jed and Matt, couldn't she have just figured it out?

By the way, what did everyone think of the Colonel, I think it was good for them to get some guidance at that part of the movie.

Lol I loved that movie... And so did the NRA. If you noticed all the subtle "messages" throughout.

Bumper sticker with dead American with Colt. 45... Russians confescation of civilians guns b/c they were registered etc. (I had to analyise this film in a class I took)

But yea, pretty good movie, entertaining. Makes me want to go play Red Alert 2 Right now...

I haven't seen the movie. Is it new or old? Maybe it's not released in France. I'll try to rent it or go to the theater or something.

Offtopic: as a faceshurling monkey, you look an awful lot like the "actor" Jean-Claude Van Damme judging by your avatar.
  • XzilenXzilen Join Date: 2002-12-30 Member: 11642Members, Constellation
It was made in 1984, and was the first movie to ever recieve a PG-13 rating.
