Weell obviously it has. Those who played it actually say they get stuck permanently, now how can you argue with that? discussions are really pointless...

/me adds himself to the list of people who had their first game on Nancy. My first commanding victory was on here too... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Keep in mind that most mappers do not like having their maps decompiled without their explicit permission. This also means that they would be even less impressed with someone re-releasing it without their permission.
I hope those mappers minding are the ones making backups of their works <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Decompiling isn't an option. Because of certain processes that take place during compiling (removing faces that touch the void, for example), the decompiler has to make a lot of guesses about the structure of the original rmf, and you end up with something unworkable.
nancy was my first map after i read the manuel. It suited what it said so much i reckon it was the best ns map made. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

well u CAN conver soem DOD and NS maps if they r small, if u try and convert ns fun maps it works, if u try converting official maps it doesnt work. i made a very large map and it wouldnt convert. its just based on the filesize really.
Using the bsp source it can be decompiled into a rough draft, loaded in the Quark builder as sort of a blue print.
While working on DoD we had to do this with caen (now caen 2) as we couldnt get in contact with the mapper. I could talk to Waldo further on the topic...but you know, maybe it should just be let go?
And this was also my favorite ns map and the first map I played on. RIP.

now I feel bad to see Nancy go... Oh well...
*begins to mount the head of the onos' head on a plaque* at least this'll stand for its memory.

it is possible, i already did it with cs_assault just for fun.
Iam not a mapper, so i don´t know if the decompilers around work with ns_maps, and if they are as acourate as needed.
Just let it go, I say.
i wonder where is the mapper <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> he could have the source... i hope?
