What does this mean? Whatever it is will it support DoD Retail when it is released? New GUI for DoD Retail? I would like some answers.

As it states in the quote you posted, no, it doesn't support DOD retail. Not yet at least.

And i presume the image will be some sort of cool render or artwork left as a surprise for the end result.

DOD retail <b>WILL</b> be supported when 2.0 is released, it just doesn't work yet.

There's nothing to support for DoD Retail that you don't need to do for MOD except allow HL 1.1.1.1 (Current DoD Retail client) and perhaps the transparency stuff?

Eh. I'm sorry but I didn't understand that. DOD retail uses HL 1.1.1.1 and I won't any problems playing NS 2.0 or, for example, CS 1.6 with DOD retail right?
