My favorite moment was probably the first time (This was like when i first started playing on tanith i think :/) that i did something crazy like this. I killed 3 skulks with one clip of my lmg that were rushing me killed one with my pistol and knifed 2. Everyone started screaming at how much of a "hacker" i was, it really gave me a rush.

Another cool moment was when i joined my first clan before STD when i was in push (shudder) And i had a jetpack HMG and i was in the sat comm vent (this was in a scrimm btw) and i was taking out their hive by myself, and i killed about 8 skulks, one right after another that were trying to kill me and I finally killed the hive, that was pretty awesome too ^_^.

My biggest rush was the first time I actually helped kill a hive. It was on tanith, and a friend and I set out to kill computer core. I stood under the hive, and he stood on my head, jumping up and slowly knifing the hive to death. It was quite a rush, because I was stuck in place, fending off every skulk that came near us.

My best game was when I was commanding. We finished up with over 700 res and the aliens didn't F4. You should have seen how badly I turret farmed mess hall. Fade didn't stand a chance. We lost our main base, relocated to mess and when we grew stronger we took base back and held it with turrets. That's my favourite stragety. Make every point a tough nut to crack.

I was on the map with cargo, vent, and powersilo hive - the one that the marines always relocate to ya know with the 3 resnodes near it etc.

The teams were stacked against us aliens. The marines had a base in cargo (main base was in the marine start) and i was gorge. I accessed cargo hive (as gorge) through the vent and then, since i had 100+ resources (very small game only 2 ppl on my team and 1 just left so i got all his res) i dropped about 7 ofense chambers and 4 dcs behind them then started up the hive. Right under their noses too <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> I didnt help the offense chambers along so they all finished building amost at the same time and promptly assaulted the enemy resource tower there. Then we won massively. It was no contest. The surprise on their faces <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

My favorate was when I for the first time did well as a Marine. I played the whole game without dying from falling. I must have killed 3 skulks with my shotty and managed to build a couple of turrets before I was killed. Had a good ol' time that whole game. Knifing 6 skulks in a row without medpacks (nancy, messhall) in a game with shampoo and steamedham at oss. Probably the first time I actually felt sorry for an alien team. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'>

Another time was probably in our server, and it was the first time I had played 1.04 in awhile, teams stacked (4vs2), and I was having trouble killing snozzle, then he started saying GG 1.04 marine. Well after 3 dcs went up I killed him, healed, rushed their base killing all them(including him) and killed their ip, and that was it, aliens won. I said "GG 1.04ed" <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> He got mad and left after that.

hmm... on ns_tanith the aliens (my team) were getting their **** handed to them with a knife and fork, but our individual skill was actually higher than the skill of the marines, we just weren't working together (for instance, any one of our skulks could take on any one of their marines and win, but they were hunting in packs of at least 2). So me and my mate got fed up and tried to organise a rush by saying "Right, everone meet up at chem transport". I never expected anyone to show up, but in the end we rushed with 8 - 9 skulks and dominated their base. I lagged behind a bit (i needed healing), and i've never before seen that many white circles all rushing together, it was fantastic and the marines were like "OMG!". really good game (we still lost though, we waited too long for that rush, and couldn't pull off another one).

I just love it when Marines take over two hives, but yoru team is still organised. One time when I was gorge, I decided to go help out the team. So I heal spraying them.. then I hit low energy and can't heal any more, so it hits me. Build some DCs and OCs!!

So I run back a little, throw down 3 DCs and 1 OC, I just get up the DC and then grab cara, thinking that I might need it. I start working on the remaining chambers when all of the skulks die to turret fire and marines. Obviously at this point the marines hear me building and run out to stop me.. poor guys.. all 3 of them didn't expect to run into a cara'd Gorge with 3 DCs to back him up, along with an OC for that extra fire power. They all died to my awesome ninja skills.. right after they hit the floor the rest of the marine team attempted to kill me.. isn't it a shame that they all ran through the PG one by one as they spawned in.. only to be slaughtered by the ninja gorge. By my 6th kill the skulks started showing up and munched the base away as they where being healed by my DCs and healing spray.. and I put up the hive. The end.

My rush moment was when I was jumping in the air from three skulks (this is in bast marine spawn by elevator) and when I jumped in the air one bit my hiny, and sent me flying down the elevator, and I landed with a crunch!

A recent favorite of mine was today on cofr. I was round the corner to station access ( or is that alpha ;/) on ecplise, because the marines were killing it. I see them bent over with a knife, so Just jumped in the direction and bit one time. I didnt even feel or hear the contact, and yet I see a kill. I even checked my score to see if I did that. Then I died ;/

Or when I saw the parasited marine sitting in the corner of reactor room ( tanith). I climbed up the vent looking across to the waste access, and dropped straight down on his head. It was perfect until he saw me and shot me just as I was gently falling on his head d;

My best moment was probably when I had to run out of base in a hurry, and fight off some aliens from generator. I was down to one pistol clip and my LMG was totally out. A skulk came up and I used 5 bullets on it (I was a crap shot)
Anyway, a marine was walking through the corridoor to generator hive while i sat on the floor. I saw a skulk move and hit it with one bullet, missing with 2 others. It was just about to fall on my friend's head when I pumped my last 2 into it's evil dog-like body and it fell to the floor. The other marine saw a skulk fall in front of him dead and was like "WTH?"

One of my most memorable moments in NS was when I commanded a four hour battle on Tanith. It was a long and brutal conflict, gaining ground, losing ground, but eventually the Marines emerged victorious, crushing the alien resistance and destroying their hives.

We ended the game with more than 1200 res, and the whole team complimented me on my commanding skills when the game finally ended, which I found very memorable.

A similier scenario occured on Nancy, but it was significantly shorter. Maybe 2, 3 hours. Again, the game ended in victory, with more than 1100 total res.

No one think that these aliens were noobs, either. They were real good aliens, but luckly, the marines were better <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> These are the kinds of games I look for every time I log into a server

A while ago I was playing on a pub and after a while the game devolved into 5 rines versus 2 aliens (one being me). They locked down two hives despite my struggling, and for some ten minutes did almost nothing. I gorged and went to eclispe where they had a half a dozen turrets a phase. I build nine DCs on the south side elcispe behind the wall, and then I poped out and started to build OC's like crazy. By the time they start popping out of the PG there are atleast five fully built OCs and one very angry gorge killing the turrets, rez tower and phase gate. Some of the clever ones tried to go to the other side and kill the DCs, but my cara and the Healing aura made me nigh invincible. They continued to phase in from a new PG even after the hive was completed. Me and my team mate phased through to their base but they all F4ed before we could finish them. 14+ consecutive kills as a gorge.

My best moment?
Me vs The entire marine team. (6 in total)
Guess who won ^-^
Went into their base, was about 4 marines there, so I quickly started with a leap into the first marine, he went down half a second after I touched him (must have been heavily wounded), I then start running around like a nubcake going in the vague direction of the marines who just started to shoot me, and by some streak, I killed the remaining 3.
What followed was the chomping of infantry portals and the marines that attempted to spawn through them.

For comedy value, I once got stuck while flying around via jetpack. My head was IN the ceiling. I had the entire server in stiches <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

It was on ns_eclipse the marines we taking the horseshoe two of them were covering keyhole (and wiping the floor with most of my team) and the other was building the res node, so I ran through Primary access corridor A1 to come in behind them took out the two guards so fast they could not react and the killed the builder, and finally the marine that came as back-up. Still had most of my life left at the end <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

rushing nancy marine spawn as skulk is my favourite, especially trough phasegates.
Killing 15 marines in a row is my record (lag bug helped), 3 is a good average.
Its all a question of timing.
Doing it twice in a row makes aliens win.

The old epic battle between good and evil.

... oh NS? Errr...

Ahh yes,
Picture the scene, Aliens were on the back foot, Engine had been lost and Refinery was under attack, skulks were respawning and throwing themselves at the marines in the hopes of buying them some time. Marines had atmospheric processing and almost full upgrades, NS_bast.

I made my break to Feedwater, hoping I didn't get caught on the way (poor ikkle gorgie). Scurried down tram tunnel, turned into feed with a hail of LMG fire behind me... managed to get up the ladder and put down 2 DCs. The battle for Refinery was raging on, and things such as "HMG JP incoming" were uttered between teammates.

The persuing marine comes up the ladder and starts attacking me... 1 dead marine, heal spray to the face BOO YEAH.
I plonk down another 2 DCs and start whacking up OCs, the turrets the marines had placed (5 - 6 maybe?) were raining down on the OCs, but once one turret fell the others quickly followed.
Hurriedly I put up the hive... more sounds from the ladders, taking cover behind the WOL, I waited to hear who the intruder was.
2 Fades who managed to survive the onslaught had arrived as backup.

...Refinery went down and things looked grim, the hive was about 1/3rd completed and only 3 of us alive. We fought to-and-fro against the JP / HA onslaught, taking down numerous sieges and turret factories.
Finally, the hive came up, we had reinforcements.

The new-born skulks rallied on refinery and did a stirling job on taking down 2 TFs and about 8 - 10 turrets with only 1 casualty. Things looked grim at Feedwater, but heal spray pulled the fades through, and some bad aim on the marine part.

Refinery started to go up... there was mass-chuckle from the alien team, which is possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard. We barraged the marines with skulks, kamikaze-rushes into the groups of HA HMG troops, taking one down for every 3 - 4 skulks.

Refinery was finally complete, the entire team was brimming with resources and the fades set in... Strike force 1 moved in on Engine, decimating the defences within about 2 minutes of arriving.
Defence force at feedwater was being hammered by a swarm (5+) of JP HMG, using web I managed to get most of them pinned down for disposal...

Engine was going up, what was this? From 0 hives to 3???

Marines were running scared... a few left...

Three new marines arrived on the scene, unphased by the 3 hive situation they set about defending atmospheric processing, killing 3 - 4 Ono'...

The battle ebbed and flowed in the favour of each team, resource nodes being taken like pawns in chess. We could tell the marines were paying a heavy toll for this type of warfare... then suddenly... there was no more HA.

The Ono' regrouped just under the lift shaft at marine start and proceeded to charge their way into the marine base, decimating anything that stood in their path...
One lone marine was hidden in refinery on some piping, but quickly succumed to the spore clouds of the victorious lerks.

Kharaa 1 - Marines 0.

If I hadn't put up feedwater, all would have been lost, GO ME <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

Me and 3 other marines where trapped at the end of that long tunnel that goes into shipping tunnel.

I had an HA/HMG. Suddenly an Onos a skulk and 2 fades trapped us. They all rushed us. All of us opened up full auto with everything we had.

As I was blasting away the marine to my left dropped dead, then the marine to my right got taken out with another acid rocket. The marine crouching below me died. I just kept blasting away. By this time all the aliens were dead from charging at our massed fire exept the onos. He charged at me. Just as he was like 5 feet away I shot him dead with my last 7 bullets. He fell over onto his side and my gun clicked dry.

I was like OMG IM SAVED!!!

Ironically 1 second after typing that I was parasite killed by another skulk. >_<

I forgot a really good one. It was on bast.

You know how you can operate the doors on it right? Well we relocated to main aft. My marines kept on trying to go inside the big door by main aft that leads to engine, and I would always close it, then they would get close to it and get crushed as I brought it back up on them. One guy got stuck in the ceiling, with his legs punching through the door. I lowered the door for him, but then raised it up and crushed the frail mortal. I killed four of my teammates by doing that. Fun stuff.

in ns_lost. i was on alien team and i ran into the marine base and hid behind the comm chair. i went gorge and started building d chambers next to the comm chair. our hive died. I sat there being healed for a little while..when finaly a marine gets me. it wasnt my best moment...but i was laughin my **** off the entire time.

Actually thats 5 rines versus 1 fade and one gorge... but it's the same idea.

Also, I just noticed, the vast majority of these "best moments" are from alien perspectives. I just wanted to point it out.

I fell out of my chair literally laughing so hard it hurt when i had too much caffine to drink, and it was 3 am on team-funs server. Everyone was in the ready room dancing with 9999 sensitivity and the cvar for tilt at 1000. LifeHazard was playing the Knight Ryder theme and I laughed so hard it hurt. I need more moments like that.
