a strange problem
heres what heppened:
i turn on my comp, stuff comes up, i go to play ns ... i notice winamp is playin but i fel like sum bgm today so i leave it on i go into a game and it starts playin 2 songs at once, bleh whatever the one song ends and it sounds fine but the problem is that the other one is LOUD. i try to play for a bit but the song keeps loopin an loopin and it gets annoyin. i disconnect and try to stop it from winamp .. try it doesnt work, i close winamp, still playin, i log off my user (winXP pro) still playin. then i restart my comp .. it stops. i decide that winamp shouldnt be used with half life. i reconnect to the server and guess what the song starts playing, and again its louder then the game. so i go, reinstall ns (loosing my custom models in the process but i dont especially care for them anymore) restart my comp and try to play again ... the song starts playing again. anybody have any suggestions?

maybe its a server plugin or some other weird thing. do you half HLamp? that might have something to do with it. reinstalling winamp wouldnt hurt either

    Hard restart...
Shut off the computer power physically..
I'd guess your sound card can't handle it..
Upgrade dx to latest, that might help.. if it doesnt, run dxdiag.exe and the audio tests

Are you sure it isnt the music volume for your game in the options? You may want to check that out, And if it is from winamp for some reason, Try getting the script that allows you to turn winamp up and down while in a game, if you want i can send you, just contact me

hit f1 - if u still have the orignal 1.10 patch, make the little window bigger, then use the stop button found in it

Perhaps it's HL's built in CD audio? Anyone think of that?
