<div class="IPBDescription">is it just me or do they suck?</div> Anyone else use Comcast broadband?

I've been using them for a while and recently I have been experiencing a lot of outages.

What are your experiences?

/Considering switching to DSL.

Mine seems to do decently. Of course, I didn't install any of the friggin' spy ware that they told me too.

comcast is the definition of "teh sux0rz". Look it up.

Unfortunately they're the only cable internet provider in my area. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Mine was just bought up by them. I'm assuming it's all due to problems involving the merging of services.

Switch to DSL. It's much faster, stable and more reliable in most areas.

Yeah, I agree, my DSL was tolerable but I had to reconnect every hour because it suddenly would drop. Plus, downstream download speed was pretty slow at times. "1.5mb/s" cable works faster for me.

all depends on your provider. DSL and cable can both suck...and can both be awesome. I tend to favor whatever service gives me the best upload rate though (128kbit upload really sucks...)

I suggest you check out that site. Lots of feedback on every ISP on Earth. It also can list them with a side by side comparison of their services and prices.

Personally I use Verizon DSL. It operates at or above their advertised rate. I am a content customer.
