<div class="IPBDescription">Counter-Strike version</div> Hello all, I just finished to install Natural Selection over Counter-Strike and I wanted to know if I need Cs 1.5 to play Ns because when I try to join a server I receive an error telling that I don't have the right version. I saw the topic about the dummy but I didn't have problem to install NS. No, you do need the latest version of half life though..
You should already have the latest(only) client version of NS
What is the exact error.. it may be the server has a file and yours is different.. and there is a fix for that!

Well I have version 1.0 of Hl but I thought that only installing Cs would work but i'll patch Hl <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. The error say that I don't have same protocol version than server.

grrr, give us the exact error mate

but here are a few:

1) You must have what ever retail product you own uptodate (HL, CS, DoD)
2) don't run from the desktop short cut. It can cause some problems that look like things are not up to date
