well the best answer that i can think of is to reinstall hl, updated it then try again. make sure he also has normal hl and not counterstrike retail package <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->~

My m8 insists that counterstrike is the best and refuses to play either NS or DoD on the basis that nothing could be better than Counterstrike :/
