    I was basically a big fat nub and forgot to read the rules for posting before doing so. The thing is more than half a page long, so I can't post it here. No webserver available means I can't host it externally either. That's what I get for being long-winded. Sorry if you liked it.

    um

    lolfighter, you can PM rob6268 and he can host it, or the people at commchair.com can host it, and I've had some pretty damn big entries that haven't hit the size requirments....

    I'm referring to this:
    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Please do -not- post stories longer than half a page as a post! Link to them, or upload them as a file, but don't put the story in the body of your message!<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    And after reading the piece again (and comparing it to info in Six Days in Sanjii Part Two), I'm not too happy with it anymore.

    Ya, that noodle incident (Simpsons anyone? Or is it Calvin & Hobbes? Damn, can't remember) was really bad. Thanks a lot for your offer.

    See original post.

    Very interesting, well done with that <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Fits the NS Universe very well also.

    Well, the "science" stems from "2001, A Space Oddyssey" and its successors 2010, 2061 and 3001 (written by Arthur C. Clarke, 2001 and 2010 movies directed by Stanley Kubrick (spelling?)). I didn't bother reading up on Clarke's "scientific" background, as I basically wrote the thing one night I didn't feel like going to sleep already. 3001 features these "disembodied minds" as the remnants of those who originally created the black obelisks. I didn't include them as means to justify the player's existence, but rather as an alternative to the Kharaa being their own masters.

    In the end, I wasn't TOO happy with the entire piece, especially after reading "Six Days in Sanjii" part two, but I'm gonna try again and make something better of it next time.

    And nerves function through electricity, with chemicals transferring signals at the synapses as far as I know. I SAID the "science" was really geeky. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    No further. Please, I'm aware of my mistakes. Don't rub it in. I was tired when I wrote it. I'm gonna do better next time, or not at all. Promise.

    Sorry to further beat the dead horse, but aren't electricity and magnetism two sides of the same coin?
