This should be somewhere near the standard, not a friggn barbie doll, and not the modern woman. In-between is always a nice place to be. Drew it myself with actual female pictures as reference that means no pornography queens, no models, no celebs, no hentai. I have a friend, whom shall not be named due to an on-going investigation upon myself. (Just kidding)
Anyway as you can see no Tomb Raider breasts, no Jennifer Lopez butt, and no anorexic figure. This is the in-between, get used to it.
Ya know, the trick to making a good female player model look beleivable is NOT big breasts. To make a good female marine model, it's the general shape of the body and the armor plating on the chest which is important.
-Narrow shoulders -Sleeker arms and legs -Thinner hands and a tad longer as well (But no pink nail polish ) -sligthly longer legs -Widder hips -Narrower waist -Increase the torso plate's depth (protruding towards the exterior) along with a roundness around the breast to "suggest" them and some highlighting of the skin at the tops -Rounder face with a more pale skin tone and lump lips (Without exaggeration) -Slightly Narrower head.
Get a good human anatomy book somewhere. It helps a lot.
The human female body is VERY hard to get right as a modeler.. and i speak from experience here. You're BOUND not to get it right the first time.
It's the suttle differences that make the model beleiveable.
What BP said really, get some anatomy books, or better yet, attend some life drawing classes. If there is an art school near you there might be evening or weekend classes open to non art students. Keep in mind that womens anatomy, like mens comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes..
I would like to see a female marine with a slightly different armour pattern, something maybe a tiny bit more feminin just to differentiate even better. Other than that the proportions are looking pretty good at the moment.
here's some reference pics legs included
The only boobs here, are those that ask for bigger ones.
If someone could do a model from PerfectionsFlaw's pic it'd be good enough.

I think Strider's here is what we would probably see out of a female TSA marine. Perfectionists' is the average woman these days, but as you can see, she is a bit bottom heavy, where the TSA marine would be a lot like strider's, due to the muscular...ness.
And yes, boobs that are small are a good thing. I've met too many girls that think their great, when the only good looking thing on them is their big boob size, so in the process, I have almost trained my brain not to like big breasted women. Not that I like it that way, but hey...lets just say the small breasted ones have a better chance with me.
But back to the topic- Like strider's. It seems the most like what a TSA would be like. But Perfectionists, thanks for that reference, I'm gonna try and model something like that, just so I can replace one of the scientists with a woman in the old HL. Should have been more of them...

i like that screenshot, i like the way the body looks, and i think it would be perfectly obvious and easy to differentiate.
anyone who disagrees should get out more often.
What if we meant it in jest?
