I guess the improvement I'm looking forwards to is stock LMG rine vs. skulk rebalancing. It's no fun to die in milliseconds as a fresh skulk in 1.04, and it's no fun shooting at l3 cara skulks with your l1 LMG.

i have never seen a community so READY for the next client side patch. 90% of the time when a company release a client side patch the users are like, awww man, this is sucks, they are changing this and that. All the warcraft 3 patches, the jedi knight patches, the counter-strike patches, the TFC patches.
This is the first place that I have seen that actually WANTS a client side patch. Good or bad? You be the judge. Personally, I cant wait too =)

-The floor vent pointing right at the res outside base which a marine exploits pretty much every time a skulk attacks there -Subspace and Noname hives were both very vurnerable to JPs, with big open areas and vents pointing right to them. Port was only marginally better. -Mother Interface. Grrr. One of the most frustrating hive siege spots in the game because of the long hall which is the main way for aliens to get to it if they have sub hive, not to mention that it's a stone throw's away from mess which marines are obsessed with taking. -The whole marine spawn area seems somewhat marine biased, with nothing but long/medium hallways outside and the single entrance to spawn which is so easily camped.
only when most of the community has downloaded the new version, will we know if we truely like the new changes, I'm sure there are some we won't but overal I am sure we will adapt to like it.

i agree, iv allways hated nancy, its to dark to enjoy playing on marine, and its way to cheap for all the cheap **** exploitation vents and long hall ways, and most of all u didnt mention the 3 places u can build outside the map.... god knows why they made that map the way they did... allways hated nancy...
I can't believe thats a majority view. I love ns_nancy - it's the only map where I've successfully taken out all three hives after the comm chair was eaten - ok so 'vent rambo' is a bit cheap but <i>good</i> aliens counter it easily and once you've learnt all the vents the map become much more fun as a skulk too (leap kills galore). I've never found it too dark - moody perhaps but not really dark - perhaps your gamma is out a bit? Building outside the map is also a problem on Hera, Bast and Tanith unless you have trustworthy players or an admin who is on the ball so thats hardly a fair complaint. Refinery in Bast is heaven for marines because of the three res towers but also for spiking lerks sitting on the rafters. It would be nice if n-corridor went somewhere but they're both lovely maps.
another thing I'm looking forward to - being able to stand outside on Hera.
Speaking of maps, the new Hera looks badass. I think that it was by far the least liked map in the game in 1.04 due to a plethora of easy marine relocation options and the horrible placement of archiving hive.
However, the new version looks to have improved upon just about everything on the map. And yes, being able to go onto the landing pad is very cool.

I loved Nancy, maybe it was the whole copying of Aliens the movie thing or the really nice layout, but Nancy was one of the best maps in the game. Yes it needed some fixing, but it was really a good map! I hope with all my heart that someone does decide to rebuild nancy and try to copy it, but at the same time make it even better! Nancy had the best Vent system of any map in the game!
