There! This thing would rock as marine.
(PS) It took me half an hour to find this darn thing, even with search. Sorry with the slow 'new thread'

Well...interesting to say the least. The anti-gorge thing is cute. There seems to be a good enough ref pic here...so a modeler (if interested) could get to work on it right away. Looks like it's going to be a bit high on polies though...

I fail to see the reasoning in creating a new thread for the subject. You could have just editted your original post in the other thread.

As for the picture, it looks a lot like the default marine only with the gasmask. It's beyond me why you would need a gasmask and a Brita air filter in the same suit.

Ah, but there you are wrong. I have a gas mask marine, and it looks nothing like this (Not the one Jeager made, but an old one) This one is a lot more 'enclosed.' I like it. EDIT:: Also, I couldnt edit the other thread, kept commin out as a red X.

I hope its a HA model, cuz that thing looks techy (which the HA is)

[edit]also in 2.0 the HA has a gasmask, so it'd go perfectly![/edit]

I dont want it for HA, I want it for LA. HA would look stupid with it. HA needs to be big, and bulky. This...isnt. Just cool.

As for Jamil, doesnt look anything like the default LA to me. I fail to see your point.

Sweet pic, I'll like this model!

I think it even fits better with NS than the standard tsa soldier

it wont need to be particularly hi poly, just some decent skinning and you will get pretty much the same effect

Well, I really don't like the gas mask idea that is floating around here. Namely for two reasons, one there's no way they will code in a gas mask so that healspray and spores didn't hurt you. So it's just for show, two I don't like the idea of taking away what little character the marines have left. All you see is their hands and their nose down, and I like to look my victim in the face even though I'm buting his knee-caps.

The concept art is pretty ^.^ the only real problem I have with it is the gask mask and the exhaust pipe.. He isn't a Chevy Caprice, it would be an exhaust vent not a pipe.

Oh and Brita Air filters, heheheh nice addition.

I'd get it. And lets call him the "B.C. Marine", cause no one says "Bio-Chem" they always say BC weapons when they talk about weapons that attack your system(like special made smoke bombs and the such...just quite a bit more extreme...and grotesque, for that matter.)

I was going to complement you on your drawing skillz Ha.ze but then i realized you were only suggesting the model not also showing off your drawing.
This would be a very cool marine model especialy because it looks more high tech the way that I think the marines should look like. I don't like the gas mask idea in general but I think that the gas mask on the referance picture just promotes the idea of Technology.
I really hope whoever does this model TAKES THERE TIME and makes it look as good as they can.

Wow that looks briliant , but if it is for LA what about JP marine

Wow, dont I wish I drew this. I was pondering around in the old area of the artwork fourm, in like nov or jan. I found this thing and I went, wow, thats cool. So, I posted it on here if anyone wanted to start working on it. Just take out the exaust pipe, I dont really like it that much. The gas mask stays, makes him look cool, IMHO. Please dont take off anything but the exaust pipe. Then, after its done (if anyone does it btw) you can release it, and then take the finished one, after release, and tweak it to what you like ok? I really wanna see this thing in game.

Someday I will draw like that. I dont have a scanner so I cant show you the stuff I draw. I'm getting there.

Oh, oh and the gas mask is the whole purpose of the model. You take that away its just a normal marine, this is Bio-Chem my friend. But like I said above, as long as I have this safly in my hands with many thanks to who made it, I will let you take it and do what you like, kk? Just want this thing. Jetpack can go on the back, same as always, but would probably have to be a custom model so it doesnt look screwy.

*blinks*
I never knew Brita filters were...that powerful.
*plugs it up to a heavy water treatment facitlity*
*filters the heavy water*
*drinks it*
"w00...tastes uber fresh! And gives you minty breath!"

The jetpack will be troublesome if the exaust pipe isn't:
-removed
-moved over somewhere else
-replaced with a smaller vent/exaust method

The Standard TSA JP (Default Model) will do, as it fits perfectly. Just attached to the person by the clamps on the top of the JP. That is, ofcourse, after the exaust pipe and such are removed/replaced/moved over first.

The Jp will have to be made so that it does not cover up the pink grey (can't remember wich it is) filter bit on the back that is the part that really turned me on to this model. The way you could do this is by putting two jets one on each shoulder blade.

Edit: wrong on both my color guesses it is actually yellow

Second Edit: Actually i just looked at the drawing again and my suggestion is utter trash. There is part of the filter on his shoulder blades. I guess I will have to continue my thinking on a suggestion for the jet pack.

Third Edit: and now i finally see that delta saind in his post that the regular jetpack will fit perfectly. I feel like a complete moron now. Especially because I edited the same post 3 times.

Dont worry, we're just gonna take out the exaust pipe completly, doesnt fit with the thing. As for jetpack, I'll try to think of somethng that we can put on, but it cant be standered.
• HazeHaze O RLY? Join Date: 2003-07-07 Member: 18018Members, Constellation
Delta is right, the orginal JP is ok for this. We would just have to assume that when they manufactured the JP they made room for the hose on his back to run through it. Regular jetpack is fine, and instead of exaust, have coolent vents, like three little slashes where the exaust used to be.
