Alpha Models

...like in DoD
Though I have not tried it, it is my understanding that models with transparent parts in them will work in NS, providing you make sure there is a certain dll in the right folder. However, this dll is not provided with NS, you have to copy it from somewhere else. Thus it is my guess that alpha models are not officially supported in NS and any maps hoping for official status should not use them. Which is a shame.

I should probably have thought of this a little earlier than 5 days before the release date , but is there any chance these models will be officially supported in future versions?

BUt they will also come with the next HL patch and CS 1.6..
but god only knows what that'll be!

as of now, NS 2.0 cannot be played by DOD 1.0 buyers, (if you use the new DOD retail to play other mods, you cannot use it to play NS 2.0) hopefully tho after the release we will be able to update it

There's nothing to say the new hw.dll and sw.dll won't be packed in with NS 2.0 though.

Edit: also, there's no reason why a mapper couldn't include them in the zip with the map if he needed to.

Flayra, if you are reading this, just drop those two files into the .zip before you upload k?
