<div class="IPBDescription">Sound Blaster Audigy 2</div> OK
I have this odd problem with my sound, as you can see. This only happens when I play HL/Op4 Singleplayer via Steam since I have Counter-Strike retail. The problem I have is 'skipping' per say. When I hear a sound that my (sound card) hasen't heard I will sort of skip, and it's quite annoying.
Could this have something to do with Hyper-Threading?
My sound card is a Sound Blaster Audigy 2, I have 6.1 surround sound set up and it works like a jiffy in multiplayer and on higher-end games like BF1942.
I highly doubt it is my graphics card.
Thanks for your help <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

so, you say that it is only when it is a NEW sound?
so like say you get the XBow for the first time, that sound will skip?
but whaat hapens after, say you kill HL and bring it back up and now use an XBow? or will it only be like the first shot fired and then fine?
all I am really thinking of is possibly something to do with the way steam streams the indo (I really don't know much about steam b/c I refuse to make these DLs when ever I wana play <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)
Ok, thanks you guys. I'm sure someone has brought this up at the <a href='http://steampowered.com/forums/' target='_blank'>Steam fourms.</a>
