This has never happend to me before.
Ever since I downloaded NS 1.0 on October 31st, 2002, nothing has gone wrong. But today, NS just decided to... misbehave. Whenever I join a server (I have tried many) the game freezes at the readyroom, and then I hear the sound loop aswell. What's going on, and how can I stop this?

Thanks for your time,
-Sid

    interesting....

so, have you changed anything recently? (including programs that might be running in the back ground?)

does this hapen with all mods? any other games?

when does it freez in the RR (do you have time to move, kill the MoTD, or as soon as the conn scrolls up it freezes?)

hmmm, well asnwer Qs I and I will continue to think

    Thanks!

Okay, my version of NS is the latest 1.04 vesrions (duh) and it has custom models and sound. (But it worked before with them)
I run Cheating Death in the background.

And in my half-life command line I have "-nojoy -console".

I have around... .8 of a second to move around; then it freezes for around a minute. Then it happens again. During this time, the sound loops. Sometimes I have time to kill the MoTD

    Thanks for your time,
    -Sid

P.S. It doesn't seem to happen to other MODs

I fixed my problem - my Graphis card was (Get this..) overclocked TOO MUCH! Heh, thanks for the help anyways.

    Thanks for your time,

I am curious, how did you figgure out you had it overclocked to much? simply poking around? looking at temp reading? (basicaly want this for my knowledge )
