Release Server Install Before Clients?

Servers > clients
In anticipation of downloading the new and exciting 2.0 and immediatly going to play on my favorite server, I forsee that this might be hindered by a huge rush of downloads, but more importantly that server ops might not be able to download/upload the newest version before hundreds are waiting to play. I don't want to start my expierence on 2.0 off with a bunch of laggy listenservers like I did for TS, but with nice low-ping servers.
I propose releasing the Linux server version for 2.0 a day prior to the actual release of the W32 Client to allow server ops time to download/upload/configure and be prepared for everyone when the time actually comes. I'd say a Windows server version would also be nice to be released day prior, but I do not believe there is any distinction between the server and the client download, therefore probably not.

If not; yeah I would have to agree releasing the linux server early, as well as the windows server (which is allready planned (the windows one)).
this is exactly what is happening

in any case, bear us in mind for future mirrors. if you can get me the ftp details for either 24 hours before they are due to be released, that should be ample time for me to request my colleagues here at BYGames to host the relevant files on our FTP server, as they have done for the video this evening.

clears up nicely, i think!

yeah,
I believe this was brought up in servers and server ops...
But, but, I thought you wanted me to keep 1.04?
