What happend to it?
I was currious if anyone knew what happened to the Mapping Squared feature on the Readyroom. I was really liking the shots of the new maps.
you do realize whos in charge of readyroom.org right? monse! the guy has a busy life, dont expect everything to be EXACTLY on time, i mean look at the ns 2.0 trailor, thing was 3 minutes late!
Well, it was replaced for the time being with the interviews, the trailer, and the Boondock video. Who knows if it's coming back; personally I'd still rather see more gameplay videos.
Yes I realize that monse is a busy guy. He's the PR guy. I was just curious if he had decided to stop showing off the new maps, delayed showing off the new maps, or whatever.
Hiya crazy guys... there will be at least one more map feature to show off NS_Lost, and probably one for all the changes made to Hera and Eclipse as well. Just been trying to juggle a lot of stuff, and time is limited.
And there will be some more short gameplay movies, but they will likely come out post-release and be more for grabbing the attention of players that missed the last two weeks. By then, you'll be playing NS and probably won't care about them too much. What I really want to do after the release PR effort dies down is make a very complete series of 'What makes NS cool' movies, that show off ALL elements of gameplay in concise and complete vignettes - this was supposed to happen for 2.0, but the art and code kept changing so much that it didn't really pan out. I'd also like to make some tutorial videos as well for new players to watch and learn about NS. Now that I bought the latest version of Fraps 2.0, this should be much easier to pull off.
But that is for after July 31st, and is very much sideline project work, especially considering that I will be cutting my team activities way down... so not official plans(i.e. don't send me 500 emails saying 'OMG WEREZ DA VIDEOZ D000D!?!?!111' or I will be forced to beat you to death with your own mousepad).
