<div class="IPBDescription">**** connection!#!@!$@#!</div> Look at the pic below....

I get that damn message, EVERY SINGLE GAME, when I play NS....Then i get disconnected. The funny thing is, I only get disconnected in Half-Life...No other games. I can't play a game over 20 min without getting that damn error. I never got this error until I installed XP...I love XP, but this is getting me so **** off. Anyways, specs below.
---------------------------------------------------

AMD Athlon 900mhz CPU (weak)
v.90 AOpen FM56-PM (I use generic drivers because the XP driver for the modem makes my connection about 10000 times worse)
40 gig hard drive (7200 rpm)
900mb SDRam
GeForce 4 Ti 4600

---------------------------------------------------
Please help....

    Thats not Net send, thats an error you can get if your connection dies mid-play. I can't remember how to fix that though, try reinstalling.

    I had that before, but I fixed it, I can't remember what I did besides that I deleted something from my connection. But Steele might be right also. If I remember I will edit this post.

    EDIT: My Computer > Change a Setting > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections

    I right-click on the icon that I use to connect onto the internet. > Properties > Networking tab.

    Now I uninstalled something in that list but I can't remember what it was so I'll just list them that I have on that list.

    Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) <<< This have a check mark on it.
    File and Printer Sharing for Mircosoft Network <<< No check mark
    Client for Mircosoft Network <<< Check mark

    If I remember correctly, there was a fourth one that I had that I uninstalled. I think it started with an O <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    That would be QoS Packet Scheduler. If you set it to 0 instead of 20% youll notice a small performance increase. I'd uninstall that though, for I dont use it either.

    What exactly is the QoS thingy?

    <b>Marik_Steele</b> : I'm trying that right now, I'll let you know if it works.

    Communist is right, that isn't netsend. However, if any of you play on lan, this is how you disable net send messages. Go to Run and type in compmgmt.msc for XP or 2k and go to Services and Applications, then Services. Turn off "Messenger". Bingo

    As far as the net send packet error, Communist has a good idea i never tried. Turn QoS to 20%, or consider the Windows Tweaking guide to see if you are having network lags. Even try changing cl_rates for HL. Actually....longshot, but do you have IPX set up?

    Don't set it to 20% , it defaults to 20% set it to zero, TCP/IP 'SHOULD' run more eficiently.

    I dont see any option of making any 20% to go 0% <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
