Help With Ns

Everytime I install NS It works OK but when I go out of the game my computer goes real dark. I tried to adjust my contact it does not work and it makes all my games very dark like my CS , DOD I have tried everthing to fixes it need help.
I have a 2.8 cpu 9800 ati pro 128mb card retail Cs & HL I play at 1024 -768
I hope someone can help me with this because I like to play NS

ok, well there is a tool in your ns dir called someying like reset gamma, try it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
