Boomgate walked into powersilo, shotgun at his side. The walls were pulsing, as he reached the center of the room the walls began to gurgle. Soon the gurgle increased to a murmur; a murmur punctuated by the occasional screech. A quick scan over the walls with his flashlight revealed roughly 70 points of light staring back at him. Eyes.
The murmuring was silenced by a scream. A chuckle eminated from the high ceiling. Boomgate didn't bother looking up. Moments later a lone skulk fell from the ceiling, landing metres away from the marine. A couple of skulks attempted to leave the walls to join him, but they were soon shamed back into position by a curt, guttural growl.
The lone skulk let off a blood curdling scream. The walls followed suit. Boomgate began to load his shotgun.
"Nice little tune you lot had going there"

    I like it... it has many interpretations. I just don't like how it starts off with 'The marine...'.     I wrote this to temporarily satisfy my desire for a skulk-fu video. That is how I picture it starting.
    When I had posted it in IRC the marine was called Boomgate (a clan member). Not sure why I changed it... /me changes back

    I doubt I'm going to write a 'sequel' because as you can probably imagine, skulk-fu loses a lot in the transistion to the written word.

    Mouse I disagree, the written word adds a poignancy to it that is bolstered by the use of our imaginations. Seeing it would (for me at least) lose a lot. Please give us some more.

    EDIT:- my goodness look at the date how did I miss this for so long.

    I was referring to how hard it is to describe intricate melee combat scenes effectively without either bogging down the pace and style of the scene or skimming over the fight itself.
