If I use the method desriced in MonsieurEvil's July 10th post, will that totally overwrite the executable for Counter-Strike? Will I still be able to play CS if I get NS to work in this fashion? If not, what way can I have them both working. Thanks.

Installing NS shouldn't mess with your CS retail, just like installing ns doesn't mess with your HL if you have the normal HL. The thing in MonsE's post is just to trick the installer, it doesn't do anything actually different.

2.0 will be out tomorrow, and will be a "seperate" install, IE you don't need ns 1.0 installed to install ns 2.0. The 2.0 installer probably won't have this bug, so if you're still uncomfortable with this, just wait till 2.0 comes out and install that.

ok, NS 2.0 HOPEFULY works with the non english versions of CS.
If not all you are DLing is a DUMMY executalbe called hl.exe (not cs.exe even) and siticking it in your CS dir, this wont over wright anything

2.0 installs with any and all CS variants, and will even let you override the installer and install ANYWHERE, even if you don't have and any valve games installed (if you really want to).
