The Amazing 3 Hour 2.0 Game!

<div class="IPBDescription">wow</div> This game took 3 hours to finish it.

It was always back and forth but eventually we (marines) took enough res nozzles to load up with HA and HMGS and GLs to take a hive. Then it went all nice and smooth from their.

I love 2.0, its so much more fast-paced than 1.04. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You knows there's something wrong when the developer says that this new version intends to DECREASE game time (I think the average game time in 1.04 was 22 minutes, and Flaya wanted the game time down to 11 minutes) but actually increases it, by at least 2x.

    I am not sure I've played a game that did not last under an hour (except for spawn rushes).

    But, this is good and bad. I would much rather have an hour long game rather than a short 11 minute game (if my intel is correct on that).

    Indeed ... games take way longer to be finished now than in 1.04. Not that I mind or anything, I allways prefer long games with at least 20 people playing <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    i feel this will change when people start memorizing the maps anew.
    marine at south loop heading to maint... where'd this wall come from?
    alien leaping towards soulthloop from maint hanging onto wall "where did this wall come from?"
    2nd one is too true i've gone half way down that dead end hall so many times out of old habit.

    one thing flayra damn good job on those turrets, they shoot better then me, i know i'm not going to kill a skulk mid leap when just trying to go around me.

    our four hour game didn't have to do with changes in the map.

    we played ns_caged - there are some changes, but nothing we didn't learn quickly.

    also, don't forget you now do have a nice pop-up map (which I think is one of the great, great new features in 2.0 <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

    I had a 2:30 hour game that ended with an admin changing the map because he was bored. We were playing the map with the NanoGrid Control? double node on ns_veil? Anyways, we had it farmed to hell, aliens might kill a turret, then we'd put down 2 more where it was. We might move out and take a hive, then we'd farm it, and while we were attacking the next hive, we would lose the other.

    well, in our case it wasn't really a battle anymore.

    just one big stand-off.
