Gorge Spit Ability?

<div class="IPBDescription">how strong is it?</div> I have noticed after alot of times being gorge that I have been able to take down a marine with spit easier than what i used to. Has the spit ability gotten stronger? if so.. then how much stronger?

I also noticed leap is a bit more effective. I dunno if its just me. or have ya really actually upgraded the leap damage for the third ability (it needed an upgrade anyway. wahts the point of having a 3rd ability which does less damage than bite)

The gorge spit definitely has a faster rate-of-fire. Not sure about leap.

Spit's ROF and damage (IIRC) was increased. Leap was unlinked from fps, which it had been before... so it's not ungodly on some machines while barely scratching marines on others'.

i believe the spit damage went up to 25 from 22, it travels about twice the speed (?) as the 1.04 spit, and it costs slightly less adren (you can get like 10 of them out as opposed to 6-7 before)
*edit* and the RoF went up

this is all from in-game experience, i don't have hard numbers

Something fun to try: create your won game with only yourself, and set the server so that "damage is shown" in the advanced options. Play with sv_cheats and bigdig so you can actually build stuff and then switch teams and try out your abilities/weapons. Damage is actually shown numerically. Cool.

It was great. On the map with refinery I was hiding in the train thing and had just built a sensory chamber in time for a marine to pass by. Passing me oblivious to my cloaked self and had his back to me I unloaded all my spit and lets just say he was dead before he could turn around (slow reaction maybe?). That day I've grown a new appreciation for spit <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
