Gorge Rush!

<div class="IPBDescription">oh no!</div> Saw this done last night. This pretty much how it works. All the alien players saves up 10 res and go gorge. Then in a big group they rush rine start and keep healing each other while attacking. They did this to us last night and decemated us before we could get turrets up. Anyone else see this or maybe have a screen shot of it? Its really funny lookin.

I loved gorge rushes in 1.04. in 2.0 they are much easier to organisate.
Saving to go gorge is easy when it costs 10 res and you start with 15 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Gorge rushes get counted with shootguns, extra IPs, mines around corners GLs and sieges.

Gorge rushes are best with movement or defense first. Movement having the advantage of faster and more healspwaying and to teleport to the hive when its ambushed.

Movement gorge rushes have always been terrific... Now they even boost stamina , meaning you can use celerity and keep healspraying everything <i>inside the marine base</i>... in case of counterattack to the hive the gorges can instantly warp in and punish the remaining marines.

Now that mass gorging doesn't mess up the team's ressources , it is more effective at least before the HAs come in. Upgraded turret farms are hard to deal with though , unless the other evolutions come in to raze them and protect the gorges.

This really isn't a problem, counter it by shotgun rushing them, you WILL massacre them.

GL work well, too. Gorge rushes are effective because when you see 10 gorges rushing your base all rational thought jumps out of the window.

Gorge rushes are like shotgun rushes, a horrific gamble. When they work, it's great. When they fail... ow.

Counter is as everyone's been saying, shotties shotties shotties (and preferably an extra IP). The biggest problem is everyone will be dead, the marines will be respawning twice as fast, and they will come with shotties and medspam to smack your hive back to the Khaara homeworld.

I wouldn't call shotgun rushing a gamble, it is extremely effective, prevents this rush and is actually more flexible too.
