<div class="IPBDescription">please help</div> Ok first of all here are my comp/hl specs:
amd atlon xp 1800+ processor on iwill ka266plus mobo,using onboard sound.
512 ddr ram
40 gig hd
ATI radeon 9700 pro, HL visual mode: opengl 1024 resolution
dvd player and cd curner
Running it all linked up to a router with adsl internet.
Ok now the problem: I can join a natural selection game and play the whole round but when it comes time for map change the loading msg pops up as normal and about 10 seconds later(when next map would normaly pop up) screen goes black and comp restarts. I dont hear a sound loop or anything like that its just when next level would normaly pop up it just shuts off and restarts.
Things i have tryed to fix it:
1. Reinstalled NS
2. redownloaded from another site and reinstalled NS
3.Reinstalled halflife and redownloaded all patchs to halflife and reinstalled NS
4.taking all cds out of drives
I have been in the irc chat but no one knows what to do other than what i already tryed.
Other possibly useful info:
1.at times while im playing the sound is scratchy, and i can never make out whats being said on voice now.
2.when i join a game i notice it says in console some trackerui file or something not loaded.
3. none of this stuff happens on any other mods i have,such as CS,dod ect

How about sound and video driver updates? Latest and greatest? Recent changes? Vendor or Reference?
there is like onboard sound in mobo and a tiny soundcard type thing that also came with mobo(mobo box calls it 6 chan audio) i use the onboard sound thingy because when i plug speakers in 6 chan audio everything sounds scratchy and like crap.

Then Sounds and Audio Device Properties
Audio Tab
For the Sound Playback default device, what does it say there?
