mhh don't know what you mean with corpses... you mean bodies around the map? how would that be possible... or you mean corpses floating outside? <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

From the <a href="http://www.natural-selection.org/MappingGuidelines.htm" target="_blank">Mapping Guidelines</a>:
<b>"the game avoid excessive gore. Don't place dead colonists anywhere (slumped against walls, in piles, etc.). Pools of blood and dimemberment is also to be avoided. The game doesn't avoid blood and gore completely, but avoids lingering dead bodies and excessive alien flesh."</b>
So no corpses ... not even if they are floating outside <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
I like the new screenies but like I said before I'd liked to see you introduce more colours to break up the blue.
well, if he tryes to make this map, an official one, he would have to stick up with the rules..... but if u want it to be a custom map, u can add bodies everywhere!!!!! <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> mayb, just one..... cmon.... <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> also, an easter egg at the map would be a nice idea...
mhh it wasn't my intention to get this map official... would be nice though <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> ... easter egg hmm maybe when I'm finished gotta concentrate on the rest of the map first, dunno yet about the lighting...
The blue works good, but... add in a second slightly contrasting color to help break up the monochrom feeling. Also, spotlights, and putting lights in creative places to make interesting shadows will add lots to your map (heh also add to your compile times too)
<b>NOOOOOOOOOOOOO...</b> I can't start my map anymore... if I want, see for yourself... I tested other maps.. it's only with mine what have I done? I have no single error in the compile log not even an leaf portal saw into leaf nothing but I can't start the map I always get this error message... plz help if you can... download the map <a href="http://www.chaosworx.net/maps/ns_cruisecontrol-pre02.zip" target="_blank">here</a> and look if it works on your machine.

I have a serious problem with my map... and currently not a single bit of humor!
and I have one more problem ... these brushes should be invisible to the commander... I can't do it with func seethrough since I can't set render modes there and also if I have a part of a level (an alien only shaft) over another can I make that one invisble to the commander somehow?

The ns people have though of everything <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Normaly the func_illusionary and func_wall have the flag
"Invisible to commander" and "Invisible from ground"
if you want to hide a brush for the commander or regular clients.
Another way of hinding the part from the commander is to put a filler_brush above the vent. Read the cmdrmode.doc file included with nstr situated in the file named "docs" (hudaguesed?), filler brushes are explained really well.
mhh no I'm currently using the one that came with nstr but I viewed this fgd in notepad and it had those flags within the func illusionary... under flag 1 and 2... it just doesn't show up in hammer but I can select flag 1 and 2 without the text showing up so that is no problem... btw filler brushes dont work in my situation since I still see the area... just black... I would need to make it invisible without making the whole roof underneath a func_seethrough
anyways I made two more shots of the infested area... mapping goes well right now <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Awesome work so far, I'm about to load up the map into NSTR and check it out. One slight thingy though, red doesn't seem to be a very good color for a forcefeild. It makes it seem too dark maybe a green/blue one?
this are some older areas that look different on the old shots <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
...first "the airlock corridor" <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> <img src="http://www.chaosworx.net/maps/ns_cruisecontrol0016.jpg" border="0"> ...does a blue forcefield look better? <img src="http://www.chaosworx.net/maps/ns_cruisecontrol0017.jpg" border="0"> ...in this area the commander view problems are almost solved <img src="http://www.chaosworx.net/maps/ns_cruisecontrol0018.jpg" border="0">
...but now to the "really" new shots <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> those particle systems on the first shot need to be tweaked though...

mwhahahahaha im the first one to get it ^^ btw nice work with the particles.... i still need to learn how to use them...... jeez this thing is really slow!!! 49 bytes per sec..... i think ill be teh last one to get it if i keep like that <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

They arent floating corpses... they are swimming... in zero gravity....with no matter to resist them..... and no air to breathe....
Well, junk will work. Do you have a different theme in mind man?
mayb, just one..... cmon.... <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->
