<div class="IPBDescription">anyone else tired of this?</div> Well, I was having a so-so ish game earlier tonight, then, someone named "Infested marine" joined our (the marine's) team... well, he asked to use the comm for a second, and I figured, what could it hurt, i'm kinda getting sick of commanding right now anyway, so he climbs in, and uses up ALL of our res, on stupid command chairs for the aliens to eat...
now, i'm stuck with no res left, and my teammates remain calm about it, and say we should build, then recycle them... well, they build them and i look at the chair... but guess what? you cant recycle the bloody things!

Anyway this guy F4'd and played as an alien, saying something like "betrayal is part of war",

This kind of thing has happened in a few games I've played, and it really ruins it, if your an alien, it makes the game bland and boring because the marines are so low on res from some annoying adolescent taking the comm and building a horde of comm chairs in your hive, and if your playing on the marines side, I'm shure you can see how frustrating it can be.

Really I wouldnt mind an option that keeps people from teamswapping with F4, or if NS would remember their IDs for the duration of the map, and what team they joined/could join.

But oh well, the NS team is probably too busy with interviews and whatnot to do anything about this kinda thing so soon after 2.0's release.

I thought in 2.0 you could recycle comm chairs ? Cant say I've tried though...
The guy was an immature 'brat', it was a cheap and unfair tactic and essentially cheating. A bit like removing your opponents chess pieces when they go to make you a coffee.

In 1.04 you could not F4 and join another team, again I dont know if this was removed in 2.0 because I haven't tried but it didn't work because brats like this would just type retry in the console and players who wanted to even the teams up wouldn't be able to do painlessly.

I think remembering peoples ID for the duration of the map and restricted them from joining the opposite team will be too inconvenient for the majority decent players, what you should do in these cases is drop the console, type 'status' to get the guys wonid and take a screen shot to post to the server admin(s)

After checking the logs to confirm your story I doubt the guy will be welcome back on their server.

That's utter raging... such a thing is a bannable offense.

His wonID must be found and added to the known rager list asap.

There really isn't much anyone can do about this, and yes it does happen and it is very annoying. On most servers it is grounds for bans. Play on servers you know have moderators that are often enforcing the rules of the server.

I really should have checked his WonID, but at the time it really didnt come to mind, ah well, no doubt he'll do it again somewhere, hopefully someone will catch him and put up a screenshot or something.

    "Betrayal is part of war."
Sure, but so is death. Lucky NS isn't war huh? Seriously, that's just lame. Bannable all the way. If the above statement was his justification, he should join the army and try if it works in real life too.
"Hey enemy-people, I know I'm on the other side, but can't I just have a look at your missile-controls for a second? Pretty please? Hey, why are you pointing a mortar at me?"
I'll imagine him as the truck-dismount driver now. ^^
Seriously, this has happened before, and it will happen again. Admins make it a bad idea, and even without, I've seldomly had the displeasure of something like this. Minor nuisance.
