Is The Onos Like A Huge Mom?

<div class="IPBDescription">Going with the NS storyline?</div> Ok this is a serious question. Lots of people have wanted to know but have been too afraid to ask or whatever.

What are these on the Onos?

Ive heard many people ask what they are and I want a definite answer. Are they spikes? Or something like a cow udder?

If so people have been specuating that the Onos is a female alien. Goes with the whole Hive Concept. Worker Bees have no gender like the skulks, lerks etc. But the big Queen bee/alien does. People think maybe in Kahraa society once spawned from the Hive, Oni workers feed and give nourishment to the to the newly spawned aliens.

I think they are just spikes to further rip marine flesh after the Onos has charged someone but who knows?
Maybe they are like a meat tenderiser before they eat them lol.

The Onos is the only one who can eat marines. Perhaps they use the extra nourishment to help feed the new aliens? Thus explaining why the Onos has to eat everything it sees.

Anyone know?

They look like spikes that can be used to land on top of an enemy to impale them.

    You are disgusting.

In other news. I guess they're just fancy spikes.

Drink Onos milk, makes your bones stronger than a rhino's.

I'd have to assume that the species that spawned the Onos had a size diffrence between the sexes (which has a fancy scientific name I forget just now). This would mean, in the case of that species, the female was larger then the male, so the female was the only one included with the bacterium's genetic libary. The small, and more useless males were simply destroyed and turned into rescources. Because having teats wouldn't help the new bacterium-driven onos any, they were changed into spikes in order to allow a way for the onos to more efficently crush any being that got underneath it's huge feet.

And that, my friends, is me over rationalizing the situation. Have a nice day.

yea i heard one time a marine drank some whit like substance milky liquid from them, his skin turned harder then a rocks and turned darker and scaly, but one question

if those were really spikes to impale a victim when jumping on it, why would it be that tho? the onos weighs like 2 tons landing on a victim will crush it, no use for spikes if there going to be a pancake

While Oni are small lil baby onions they play much in the happy gorge world. And sometimes they get hungry... and if there are no rines in range they eat some OC's and the spikes from the OC's look out their stomaches like that!

they're there to feed the dozens of skulks that hang around the hive when there are no marines to chew on

The underbelly is a weak point for most large animals. Lots of flabby skin and vital organs, but very little muscle. The spikes are probably just an evolution to counter act that weakness.
