<div class="IPBDescription">How to fix it</div> I just found a bug in some of the crosshair files that means the crosshair for lerk umbra and gorge web do not appear. To fix it extract <a href='http://www.holcroft.net/~cheesy/fixedsprites.zip' target='_blank'>this</a> file to your Half-Life\ns\sprites folder.
To fix it manually:
Open weapon_webspinner.txt and change the number on the first line from 6 to 8.
Do the same with weapon_umbra.txt.

Same here, to be honest, I dont think that those weapons need crosshairs, but thanks anyway. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'm not sure why 8 is the right number (a variety of numbers appear to be used), but considering the existence of xhairweb.spr in the ns sprites directory I guess they are accidentally missing. But that's not a guarantee, bite2gun and paralyze are still in there too, and those aren't even weapons in NS 2.0.
PS: what are those autoaim lines in the text files? I didn't know NS had autoaim.
I've already posted this in the bugs section btw, just thought you all might want to know about it. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
it's a var the server op can set, surprising 99% of the time it's 0.
In that case, a lot of those weapon files are wrong, though the common error tends to be that the number is too high, which doesn't appear so bad.
so... I'll have to change it back

LOL I have no idea how that could happen.

indeed... seriously thought I was going crazy when it did that...
although it may ave just been the server... I'll have to test it again tommorrow...
Second... lerk umbra is not hard to predict.... center of your screen.
Third.... a reticle on web would be nice but it may have been removed to prevent direct webbing of an enemy as some people used to complain. aka shooting a wall then a person.
and if u people that don't see the crosshairs on most guns
then its probably your on direct3d
change to opengl and ur set <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> </span>
