Minor But Irritating Glitch

When I first get console screen while connecting to the server I get absolutely no console text showing, so I'm guessing at whether I'm actually connecting to the server. Once in the server tho and I bring down console the text is back. I've had a few people tell me they get this every once in awhile but I get it every time. Any ideas on how to fix this?
