I have a similar issue, but only happens when in the ready room or spectating in free look mode (this case it happens to me in every HL mod, so i think it's not a NS prob).

Only program that i keep (disabled thou) when playing is Norton antivirus. Does anyone here have it On and experiences Drunken controls?

    Cheers

Worst off, for me it even affects team chat, regular chat, typing commands into the console, etc. You'll be typing, and you'll feel like you're on the word processor of a 486; you've been typing a whole line out, and when you're done, the computer will finally burst it all onscreen.

I have just gotten a Radeon 9600XT and I am getting this drunken problem. I will be playing and in combat or something my controls will freeze for a second or 2. I used to have a geforce 4 mx440. That vid card ran fine with a constant of 60 fps. Now my 9600XT fps is jumping all over the place sometimes even down to 20. It never happened with my mx440. I have d/l'ed all the latest drivers for almost everything. I am not using any wireless stuff. What the heck is up with this problem. It seems to be affecting more and more people. It affects me a lot in NS combat.

Its hard to fight a skulk when u cant turn......

Get rid of the intellipoint software.. you don't need the extra program running, you need the drivers themselves
