Does anyone else think that scanning can become a bit too cumbersome?
From the changelogs during the beta I always thought that there would still be a 'global' scan button/hotkey, and that it would draw from a pool of 'energy' that increased with additional observatories built. However we're forced to click on the observatory (or waste a hotkey) to scan, just like distress beacon. More often than not, you also need more than one obs to scan an area for the siege to target... or to uncloak an area for your marines to assault. So clicking or using extra hotkeys on multiple observatories can become unnecessarily tedious.
Is it possible to say... put the scan hotkey in the menu with the medpack and ammo? Might have to have an extra display on the commander hud for the energy pool as well (even if there's no obs selected).
