How To Web Like A Pro?

My webbing skillz aren't up to par..
Whenever I try to web as a Gorge, it usually ends up just sticking to the side of a wall instead of shooting across it, making it virtually useless (unless some stupid marine purposely rams into the side of the wall, it's not going to do anything). I tried shooting in corners of doorways, or at the very edges of doorways and no dice. What gives? Howcome I can't web like the rest of the Gorges do?

now I'm no expert, but I believe you need to follow up your first shot with a second shot. that's where the first shot connects to. so, yeah, you draw lines by shooting one web shot at each endpoint :> someone else can give you better details I'm sure

Web is created between points of impact for the web weapon. The first blob of web you spit does nothing, the next time you shoot a web between the first point of impact and the next should be created, when you shoot a third a web between the second and third point of impact should be created and so on.

No web will be formed if you cannot 'draw' a straight line in space between the points without intersecting world brushes(you cannot have one strand of web go through a 'solid wall' and out the other side, but you can probably do this with all entities like buildings and rotating doors etc.). No web will be formed if there are allready too many webs in the area or too many webs on the map in total.

If you want a web from floor to ceiling in a corridor, shot once at the floor and once at the ceiling.

the most used and more effective use of web is laying it flat on floors/walls/ceilings. Just fire on one side of the hall's floor/ceiling/wall to the other side of the hall's floor/ceiling/wall (going the width for floors/ceilings or hight for walls, not the length)

it also helps if you double-up webs: IE fire at point A once, then point B, and then point A again; and if you want point b once more (that puts down 3 webs if you went a-b-a-b)

also another good way is to put the web at marine thigh level; they cant jump over it unless they have a jetpack, and they cant crouch under it. go back-and-forth on the walls if you think they can jump over it so they take out them all and get slowed tremendously.

just remember that the grenades from the GL and the welder clear out webs like there's no tomarrow, though.
