My Opinions On 2.0

Nobody really reads those long drawn out posts that go into great detail do they, so i'll make this quick and as painless as possible. In my opinion 2.0 is a very big step up from the old. It requires a whole new approach to the game and is much more balanced (My God...Natural - Selection being balanced, how can this be?!). The fun factor has also been raised, mostly because i don't know anybody who really likes to set up a base and play for a good hour and 1/2 fighting a losing battle. 2.0 battles are MUCH better, the way the game was meant to be played, with upgraded marines fighting against fades and onos/onii/onoseseses(?) unlike 1.04's marine 1 hive lock down or the fade/onos against marines that have absolutly no chance. The new maps are absolutly spectacular and very well balanced in just about all of them.

However bring me the dead horse that was named "Onos with redemption" it's time to beat it.

This is one of the biggest balance issues in my opinion merely because an onos can rush up to a squad of heavies, eat one, horn some others and get redeemed. This costs the marines some valuable resources, especially if it's a squad to take down a hive or something. Now wait. Before any of your faces contort and twist into anger at the fact this was mentioned please note that <b>I know that the onos costs 100 resources and that it should be good and redemption doesn't ALWAYS work and blah blah blah</b> so this is my little proposition. The onos can still get redemption. The onos can still get devour. However not a combonation of the two. Say that when an onos eats someone and it redeems the marine pops right out with the amount of health that the onos left him with. If i can remember a while before 2.0 came out, devour was supposed to be the ideal way to deal with idiots going rambo and on their own. Maybe a small squad of light marines. I understand that the onos is meant to be a battle tank, an asskicking in the form of a 20 ton evil rhino-elephant-cow hybrid.

Other than that IMHO 2.0 is next to flawless, I love how you all perfected the fade into what he is meant to be in my eyes, a swift hit and run kind of alien instead of 1.04s stand outside your base and spam death rockets into your base until he gets shot then he would destroy you in the **** with his claws

Once again keep up the good work and i cannot wait to see what the future has in store for this great mod.

And this got a bit longer than it should have.
