now way dude, be happy that u dont need to even have a 2nd hive to evolve to a fade. ths lerk spores are good enough untill your get a 2nd hive for the acid rocket. trust me dude, im sure the ns team has thought very long before disabling things randamly. i think its alsmot 90% balanced now, if not more.
No way I don't want acid rocket 2nd hive because it promotes acid spammers.

I actually think as the first poster too, as far as I've played once HA/HMG(even worse SG) comes around the corner fades and skulks become obsolote. Only Onos have a chance and that's with a lerk umbraing.

I don't think that's going to happen, simply because the Fade isn't designed to take on HA. Small groups (1 - 3) LA-LMG marines he can take no sweat, 4 maybe, 5 and he should be calling for backup. HA though isn't something the Fade should be taking on; in an ideal world the Fade would be off taking down electrified resource points or blinking into the marine base and hitting the obs or arms lab. Your oni are the front line against HA: 2 hive Fades should be only attacking HA when they have been stunned or heavily umbraed. The actual role of the Fade is still being defined I believe; time will tell as to his true purpose.
At 3 hives though he is truely a force to be reckoned with, a "jack-of-all-trades", great at long range and meele combat. That stems from both acid rocket and 3 sets of upgrades. But a return to 1.04 acid rocket spammage is not something I want to see. A marine with an HMG/HA is supposed to represent the best the human race has to offer, why should a mid level alien be able to stand toe to toe with it?
I figure a skilled fade should be able to stand toe to toe with one HA and needs support for two, anything more and fade should be ripped apart. I am also happy the acid spam has gone it was sad enough when fade killed so many without having to get in the line of fire.
Acid rocket should stay where it is and slash should be upped just slightly. Also i thought you could make rines rocket jump with acid rocket push back, it only seems to do that with gore and xeno.
Once you get used to Fade it can be very deadly and useful. Adapt...
I was playing mineshaft, we had 2 hives and the marine's had made the sewer their new home. We had sensory first and as I was gestating I asked if the gorges could put up defense so I could use redemption. And what did they do? Put up movement. So I got adren. Without redemption I released that the fade is a superb hit and run alien. If I see one or two on SoF I blink up to their face, kill them and then blink away and metabolize.
Summary: Fade is great once you get to grips with it.
