A Spike Shooting Welder...thing...

<div class="IPBDescription">........this speaks for itself</div> I was playing in ns_caged and I picked up a welder in sewer and started using it. I notcied something strange. there were SPIKES shooting out from my welder instead of the plasma electrical stuff! They came out extremely fast with the sound when a lerk shoots the spikes. Has anyone seen this before? The spikes shot out of me in the lower left corner of the screen. it was really weird. I just wish a took a screenshot of it. Nevertheless the welder did weld properly. o.O

A couple of people said that they'd seen this before. Is it a bug or what?

Several people have reported this before (Their post got locked because of somebody elses spam)

It's quite an interesting bug as apparently the spikes don't cause harm, so the only detrimental effect is this weird graphical error on the players end. I am unsure if other players can see this phenomenom.
I'm sure plenty calls of 'ha><or' would be made if it could be...
