<div class="IPBDescription">for marines to win?</div> Ive seen on publics aliens most times loosing on ns_origin and marines almost never win on ns_mineshaft.
ok ns_origin sucks more in sens first than any other map. movement and 2 hives early is really important here.
Aliens also fail in using the vent system, especially that large one near marine spawn that goes over the half map.
on ns_mineshaft marines are just to unflexible, they always rush cafeteria with tons of skulks waiting there OR they get it and aliens got the rest of the map meanwhile.
Being comm in mineshaft is hard because it has lots of hiding spots and hives aint easy to reach/siege/defend.
I really want to have a good strat for that map that does not only tell me to relocate to doubleres.
ok mwaybe its just the big server sizes?

I don't like mineshaft that much since a lot of people get confused and can't group up well. This hurts aliens more, because the marines just need one guy who knows his way around to put up a phase gate and then just tell all the nooblets to phase through once he builds it.
If you want to talk unbalanced, look at ns_veil. Just look at it, its like 80% wide open, brightly lit halls and rooms that the marines can excel in.
I personally like the veil map, as it reminds me of eclipse <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.
Anyhow, I think it's way too early to judge balance on maps. Most people still haven't fully learned the new maps, so balance will be hard to judge for now.
