the IP shows the class:
the IP is split in "network number" (left side) and "host number" (right sides)
Class-A 103.xxx.xxx.xxx 128 networks (one number) , 16 million hosts (three numbers)
Class-B 151.170.xxx.xxx 16.000 networks (two) , 65.000 hosts (two)
Class-C 196.23.155.xxx 2 million networks (three) , 254 hosts (one)
class a for example is the american military network. (top secret)
class b for example is for firms, universities and large networks. (internet)
class c is for small internal networks (local area network = LAN).
now imagine me being all calm and nice than u suddenly hear in ur ear
HOW THE **** DO U ******* FIX THIS ******* **** now would that be nice
P.S. I put the stars now the admin lol
check internet and ip settings.
now do you play trough the internet or in a small lan?
simply check the ip of your server, if it starts with 192....
nukeaqua, edit your listenserver.cfg in your \ns directory. Change the line "sv_lan 1" to "sv_lan 0". For some reason, the default listenserver.cfg (the config file which is run when making a listen server) has sv_lan 1 in it, which means that even if you make an "Internet Game" from the Multiplayer menu, you are actually making a LAN game.
back up off the muh, he was simple stating standards which are a must in networking
and yes, that is how you solve the problem
(me points to Monsieurs cartoon about dealing with the veterans program)
