Ns webkit

Or how should i call it?
A few week ago, I read on the website of a pc-games magazine that the developers/producers of "Anno 1503" have released a "Webkit" containing animations, logos, screenshots, renders, product-infos and soundfiles for webmasters to help them creating a webpage.

I thought this would be a good thing (after the release of course) to help the community to get some good fansites...

I know that i must "fear" that MonsE has done it already but if not, it would be great to do it...

If you still don't get what i mean, check this link to www.anno1503.com

Fear not! I have done no such thing, and it's a great idea. You should all mailbomb Comprox, as he is our main web design contributor at RR.org.

After Comprox runned away, i think I'll post my personal wishlist:
- TSA Logo, both as icon and as bigger version
- Tileable infestion texture
- renders of all aliens, side, front and action
- portraits of one human and one alien (similar to the warcraft II box
- some tech-textures, tileable of course
- border-images, pipes both normal and infested for example
- animated hive and turret
- masked versions of some concept-arts (it take me looong to extract those marine for my wallpaper )
- official background-stories in .txt-format
- official copyright-text to include in the webpage
- description and screenshots of each map
- a full credits-list

for this time I'm ready, i know that not everything can be included but i've done my part i think... Go, Comprox, Go!

Err, can we say release 500? I would love to do all that, but god, watching the forums, watching IRC, doing 2 websites and trying to start a map along with my so called real life is a challange enough

I will see what I can do though, but don't expect THAT much!

NS could release tomorrow. We'd rather not, as there'd be some rather minor bugs, some silly animations, and a few placeholder models. But it would be fun to play, be really cool, and would have all the features. Just ask the playtesters.

But we'd like it to be better than this. So just be patient.

There are still place holder models!?!

U mean u didn't use my idea for hooking up all our modelers and animaters to many many tubes that feed them and take away waste products, trow in 50% caffine and we can get 24 hours of work out of them per day.

Give it a try.

I just found out that Age Of Mythology also did a "Fan Kit".
Look here to get ideas and see what they included...

Anything that has "Age of" in the first two letters, you can tell right away its a clone of some other game, maybe not *cough* but definitly one game or another.

Anno 1602 is still one of my favourite games ever. I expect I'll be playing alot of Anno 1503

I think a package of this sort would be great

arg, I confess I faked the colour
