Double Res

<div class="IPBDescription">In most maps</div> I'm sure we can all agree, in maps the double res room is one of the most sought after area in the map, closely followed by a third or second hive. The maps with double res are Reactor Room(Tanith), Cargo(Origins), Refinery(Mineshaft), Holoroom(Hera), Atmos(Bast),and Veil(I don't know the name of this one, I don't play it much). With Marines, if you takes thoses rooms, then victory is almost assured. Well, this got me thinking, I've never seen a serious map with triple res nodes. So just a suggestion to mappers try out a triple res thing.

That would probably end up with such turret farming that it would be ridiculous.

And it would probably be a prime relocation spot.

you mention that marines that own a double res will most likely win. but why there should be a map with a triple res then? makes no sense to me...
double res nodes may be important locations in maps but in my eyes this effect should created by some other causes. double res nodes are areas of intense battles... but it gets little onesided if the marines keep relocating to double res.
try this: dont put 2 res nodes in one area, more likely make 2 seperated res nodes in 2 seperated areas that arent too far away from each other. to achieve flayras "fight for resources" it will be necessary to add some more resnodes to the maps. 10 each is standart I think. maybe 15 each would be better... but triple res... NAH!

hmmm... I dunno, maybe three in a generalised area, but each with multiple openings/vents or somesuch. Something along the lines of cargo in Nothing, where there were 3 really close and another two not so far out. That setup was almost perfect, but just a little too strong, its main disadvantage for the marines was that it was too far from their spawn, and to relocate opened up a lot of entrances/weaknesses. A nice double-edged sword.

Oh, you forgot Central in Caged ;p

A triple res has never been done because a double res is good enough.
