If I did well understood, you can assign people to squads by the cntrl + [1 to 5] thing.
I say 1-5 because it seems that there's only 5 "slots" availible like that.
And you can assign other things than just your marines to these slots.

JeeR's not wrong, merely not entirely correct. He probably has ctrl as duck (many seem to, I have it as my second duck key just for grouping)!

I have ctrl as duck, too! I am sorry, but i did not really relase that ctrl (He wrote cNtrl)
