Lag Problems?

<div class="IPBDescription">Huh? Wha?</div> I've played NS religiously since 1.0, but starting a few days back my pings have been soaring whenever I enter combat (from 50-80 all the way to 300-500). As soon as guns go off my ping soars and everyone starts jumping around from lag (my FPS remains constant the whole time). I've never had any trouble with this before, and it has me wondering if it would be something wrong with my computer or ISP, if others had this problem, and what they did to fix it.

    Try finding a server that has a smaller player max than usualy (maybe up to 16 people) and see if it's any better. Also, those 2-3 hour games tend to make the pings really spike.
