    So it's not that she doesn't like you because her parents don't like you, but she won't go out with you because her parents don't like you, well in that case teh only choices you gave are 1)forget about it, as I said earlier, or 2)just be persistent, keep working at it, let this girl know you aren't going to give up. But be warned, if she agrees to go out with you it's probably going to mean lots of trouble for her at home.

    So you're saying you're only after her in particular because she's a redhead, but at the same time it's not purely physical and you really love her? Riiiight. I'm going to say:

    1) Work on getting your own head screwed on straight, at least to the point where you can clearly identify what it is you want and why you want it.
    2) Find a girl, regardless of hair color, who has her head screwed on similarly straight, and is not going to turn you down due to bigoted parents.

    How well do you know this girl? How well does she know you? I know what you think but it's not the kind of love that will never die. It sounds more like you kind of fancy this girl quite a lot. Perhaps because she has become unobtainable. as for racism I think that is very much in the minority in white families. In fact in my experience (and I have dealt with people from all walks of life of all ethnic backgrounds) people who make generalised assumptions based on race to say that other people are racist do in fact have some issues themselves with sterio typing people.

    Thats a very long worded way of saying that you sound a little racist yourself there. Especially as you you bring colour into your description of her right from the start.

    Here's a clue. Forget about dating her, it's not going to happen for now. If you love here you can wait until she is old enough to make her own choices about who she dates. Instead just be nice to her, not to nice - thats creepy. Basically be a friend. How do you manage this? Well it depends on her and on you. You have to get to know her and to let her get to know you so you require some time together preferable in neutral surrounding where you both feel relaxed and un-threatened. Perhaps you can offer to help her with homework or research in the library, perhaps you can ask her to help you with homework?
