What if NS never existed?

What if Flayra never thought of this? What if NS died in its developmental stages?

Me, I would still be a ""elite" aWp3r" in CS thinking that I was playing the best game in the world and that I pWn3d everyone. I would be sitting my butt in a corner with an AWP and generally nailing people mindlessly. It wasn't until planethalflife posted a story on NS that I was interested. At first I wasn't. I thought, "OH B0Y! ANOTHER HL M0D T0 B3 0WN3D HARDC0R3 "elite" STYLE BY CS!" I waited for October 31st, 2002 - with malice in my mind. I played the mod and at first I was satisfied - I thought, "What n00b wanna play dis?"

A few days later, I was "Dis stuff kinda fun!"

Then my vocabulary got more sophisticated. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

It took me a couple months to be completely immersed, and now here I am.

Where would you all be? Post your thoughts, stories, comments.

I'd be sat on my arse playing other games. I'd maybe have more free time not mapping and not posting on these forums, but my butt would be in the exact same place.

I'd be either playing "quirky" mods like Underworld or Vampire Slayer.

Objective games of MoH or Wolfenstein.

Probably waiting for AvP3, and I would be telling myself that it would bring back coop mode and keep the alien lifecycle.

Sitting at my PC wondering why there's no mod that covers all of these.

If there was no NS....

I would have wandered mindlessly around biting people for no reason.
I would bellow ...and knock random people over in hallways.
I would hide in dark corners and ....CHUCKLE
I would purchase every item in a candy dispenser before leaving the room.
I would follow people down hallways saying "I got ya covered"
I would pause in the atrium of the place I work and looking skyward
scream "Health! helllllooooo...I have an expensive weapon"

For these reasons alone i would be institutionalized and subjected to shock treatment
...so its a good thing Flayra keeps a tight release schedule..huh

the specialist is a good mod ahhh it really matters what SDK they use to make the mod it just makes me feel crappy inside to press tab see the old SDK score thing god i hate seeing that...
