Switching Option

this is my first post on the NS forums but i have been playing NS since it first started in October of 2002.


now my intentions are not to bash NS 2.0 or anything of the sort for that matter..
i enjoy 2.0 but i also miss 1.04 alot..
i miss the gameplay it had.. anyway i am not here to discuss the pros and cons of 2.0 and 1.04

i would simply like to know if there is some easy way of switching between the two versions.. (yes thats how much i miss 1.04 and thats how much i don't wanna lose the option of playing 2.0)

if there isn't such an option.. maybe this is something worth considering?
i have played enough games since 2.0 was released.. and yes, its fun in a different way from 1.04 both games offer different stuff. i hope someone can make it so that a person can switch between versions.

Easy, just have two ns folders one 1.04 and one 2.0 the one you want to play should be named 'ns' the other one can be whatever you want.

Although I don't think anyone plays 1.04 anymore.

yah, you have 2 ns folders, the one you wana play at the time is called ns, the other is ns.versionname

as for ppl playing 1.04:
about 15 1.04 servers

i had forgotten about that trick...

btw, how much do u guys enjoy 2.0 compared to the fun u had in 1.04?


i feel i had more fun in 1.04 but that doesn't mean that 2.0 isn't fun for me.

I think a slight boost for the marines will have it so I enjoy 2.0 more.
