can anyone help me on this?
well today i just got my new system parts got everything together and turned it on. nothing happend, no beeps or anything. sat there for a few minutes thinking what could be happening and why i didnt hear any beeps. then i remembered that asus boards have vocal audio error messages, so i plugged in my headphones in the jack and heard memory error.
so i pulled one stick out and and left the other stick of ram in the first dimm slot, didnt work same problem tryed them all up to slot 3, slot 3 worked and got it to post no problems after that.

so this is my problem my memory banks 1 and 2 do not work but 3 does. im using corsair 3200LLPT ram that came in a twinX package 256mbyte sticks. both sticks work when i put them in slot 3 its just that 1 and 2 dont work whatever i do. i have reseated them several times and tryed different configurations. the motherboard is the A7N8X Deluxe revision 2 using the 1005 bios.. so can anyone can clue me in what the problem is with my board / ram ... i really dont want to RMA this board back.

If you had access to a stick of RAM that works nicely with the board you could update the bios and see if it solves the issues.

Ok, i've done a bit of browsing and what i've managed to figure out is that if you wish to use this ram in slots 1 and 2 (utilising the Dual Channel DDR) you also must have one DDR in slot 3. No idea why, not sure if i'm right, but give it a try dude.

As i said, from what i could gather that to make slot 1 and 2 work you must have something working in slot 3 also.
